Technical Sales Manager (f/m) – Plastics at Genesis Polymers

Do you know plastics and would you like to move into sales?

Genesis Polymers is looking for a new colleague to develop our business in Poland.

We are not necessarily looking for someone who already has many years of experience selling polymers. For us, understanding plastics and plastics processing is just as important as sales experience.

Perhaps you currently work for an injection moulding, film extrusion, compounding or other plastics processing company as a technologist, process engineer, application engineer, technical specialist, purchaser or in another customer-facing role – and you feel ready for a new challenge.

If you understand plastics, enjoy working with people and have a commercial mindset, we would like to hear from you.

Who we are

Genesis Polymers Europe is an international polymer distribution company and part of the Ravago Group.

We are building a strong presence across Europe, supplying customers with a broad portfolio of polyolefins and supporting plastics processors in different market segments and applications.

In Poland, we want to further develop our customer base and are therefore looking for a new colleague who knows the local plastics industry and wants to grow together with us.

OPPORTUNITIES

Your main responsibility will be to develop sales of our polymer portfolio in the Polish market.

You will:

  • manage and develop relationships with existing customers;
  • identify and approach new potential customers;
  • understand customers' applications, processes and material requirements;
  • recommend suitable materials and support customers in finding the right solution;
  • prepare and follow up quotations and commercial opportunities;
  • negotiate prices and commercial conditions;
  • work closely with our internal sales, product management and supplier teams;
  • visit customers regularly throughout Poland;
  • build long-term relationships rather than focus only on individual transactions;
  • gradually develop your own customer portfolio and take responsibility for its growth and profitability.
BACKGROUND

Experience in the plastics industry is important. Previous polymer sales experience is an advantage – but it is not a requirement.

You could be a good fit if you have experience in areas such as:

  • injection moulding;
  • extrusion;
  • compounding;
  • plastics processing;
  • plastics technology or application development;
  • technical customer support;
  • purchasing of polymers or raw materials;
  • technical B2B sales.

Knowledge of polypropylene, polyethylene or other thermoplastics is an advantage.

More important is that you:

  • understand how plastics processors work and what is important to them;
  • enjoy meeting customers and building relationships;
  • have a commercial mindset and are interested in developing business;
  • are proactive and comfortable working independently;
  • are willing to travel regularly within Poland;
  • speak Polish fluently;
  • have a good working knowledge of English, as you will be part of an international team.

You do not need to be an experienced polymer salesperson.

If you have a strong plastics background and the personality and motivation to succeed in sales, we are ready to help you develop the commercial part of the role.

OFFER
  • The opportunity to join a growing international polymer distribution business and help build our position in Poland.
  • A strong product portfolio and the support of an experienced European team.
  • An existing business platform combined with significant opportunity to develop new customers.
  • A high level of independence and freedom to organise your work.
  • Direct contact with customers and the opportunity to build your own business within the Polish market.
  • Technical and commercial support from experienced colleagues.
  • Training and support during your transition into the role – particularly if you come from a technical rather than sales background.
  • An attractive remuneration package consisting of a competitive fixed salary and performance-related component.
  • Company car and the standard equipment required for a field-based sales position.
