We are currently seeking a motivated and commercially driven Sales Manager to strengthen our presence in Sri Lanka and South India, focusing on the industrial tire and general rubber goods markets.
Purpose of the RoleThe Sales Manager plays a key role in ensuring sustainable and profitable revenue growth while maintaining strong customer relationships and satisfaction. You will manage the full sales cycle — from identifying opportunities and developing partnerships to supporting operational excellence and ensuring commercial success.
Your Responsibilities1. Stakeholder Intimacy
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships based on trust, service, and deep market understanding.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by accurately identifying and meeting customer needs.
• Represent DRI Rubber professionally, promoting our company values and sustainable solutions.
• Support the transfer of customer information to Segment Managers when required.
• Report progress and performance against set objectives to the Global Sales Manager.
2. Product Leadership
• Match the right DRI products to customer needs and applications in collaboration with the Global Sales Manager.
• Identify and assess new market trends and business opportunities in the region.
• Translate customer feedback into product improvements and development initiatives.
3. Operational Excellence
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth Order-to-Cash process (sales, fulfillment, and payment).
• Manage and monitor the sales forecast and order intake, ensuring reliable planning and communication of deviations.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, coordinate activities, and capitalize on commercial opportunities.
• Support the Global Sales Manager with quotations, reporting, market and competitor analysis, and internal alignment.
4. Profitable Growth
• Achieve turnover, revenue, and margin targets, contributing to DRI’s sustainable growth.
• Expand market share by acquiring new customers and strengthening existing relationships.
• Analyze sales performance to identify areas for growth and improvement.
• Develop new business opportunities and markets within the industrial tire and general rubber goods sectors.
- Education: Degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related commercial field.
- Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international B2B environment.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong commercial and customer-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Technical insight and ability to translate customer needs into tailored solutions.
- Ability to work across cultural differences and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and result-driven. - Languages: Fluent in English, Sinhala, and Tamil (both spoken and written).
- Other: Willingness to travel frequently within Sri Lanka and South India.
