Purpose of the role
To expand, plan and maintain the IT-infrastructure, to design and implement new applications in the IT-environment and to resolve structural problems in order to ensure that the continuity and efficiency of the IT-infrastructure meets the needs of the organization and in order to guarantee its optimum availability and adherence to agreed service levels.
Requirements
- Focus on Networking, Firewalls, Wireless & SD Wan.
- Experience in Aruba Cloud, Palo Alto & Cato Networks
- Design and implement new offices. SDWAN, VPN, Firewall Rules, security and cloud provider management.
- Low-Level Design of the branch offices. Definition of the Hardware and cabling standards.
- Migration of branch offices: Installation and configuration of Firewalls, Switches and Access-Points of the migrated branch offices.
- Standardization of the processes: runbooks, documentation, designs, etc.
- Fluent English and Spanish
- Well organized and able to analyze an IT problem in a short timeframe
- User oriented, customer focus
- Motivated to help people with IT problems
- Good communicator
- Capable to understand and accept the impact on the business
- Love to work in a team, remote & onsite
- Min. Bachelor ICT or similar by experience (+5 years)
- 15% availability for travel (EU)
- Driving licence and own vehicle.
Principal responsibilities/tasks
- Offer second line support for incidents in order to restrict and prevent an interruption of the IT services
- Investigate the IT environment in a proactive and discerning way in order to make the necessary proposals for improvement in due time.
- Install and update procedures and design configurations in order to offer the necessary tools to the first and second line to ensure the stability of the environment within the agreed service levels.
- On a rotating basis, help ensuring a continuous service order to guarantee the agreed service levels.
- Be responsible for technical realizations and take care of the necessary installations and configurations of the hard- and software in order to implement IT infrastructure in a successful way.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assess different software and hardware solutions that meet the needs of the network/systems/security infrastructure (SOE) to ensure that management can select the best possible solution.
- Inform, train and guide 1st line support engineers to ensure that systems are used in the best possible manner and as efficiently as possible.
- Stay well-informed about the evolutions within the specific field, keep his/her knowledge up to date within the context of new developments in order to strengthen his/her credibility by offering a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge.
